INTERNAL VALUE OF SELF
In this ongoing series of work, I utilize a variety of full graphite body portraits atop fluid drip paintings of multiple women with differentiating body types, ethnicity, & age groups. This is in order to not only force the audience to make their own analyses of these differences, but also understand how these are all elements that generate biases and prejudice towards women in common society. Through my blatant isolation of all these differences that force woman of all ages to undergo unjustifiable experiences of prejudice, I am also forcing the audience to take their own biases into consideration, and self-assess that subconscious prioritization.

ANXIETY
SERIES
The central idea I aimed to convey through this body of work was to capture and represent how my anxiety is incorporated within several different elements in my adolescent life, while also capturing how I would imagine my anxiety if it were a malleable/ feasible entity or symbol. These symbols for my anxiety are represented in both metaphoric elements such as the silverware in my “Hunger” piece, or represented in the texture I chose to draw myself throughout different works of anxious disconnect.
